BIG DRAMA’S SADIE BE GOOD WINS BY 9 3/4 LENGTHS IN BELMONT ALLOWANCE

May 10, 2017, Belmont Park, NY–The $77,000  6 1/2 furlong allowance went to 3-year-old SADIE BE GOOD, by BIG DRAMA. A daughter of Miss Grandiose, by Grand Slam, previously broke her maiden at Gulfstream by six lengths over Florida breds on January 6. Facing older competition for the first time in the Belmont allowance, she was coming off a runner-up effort in the April 2 Sophomore Fillies S. at Tampa Bay Downs. The 9-5 favorite tracked Bow Town Cat through fractions of :22.48 and :45.74. She powered past that rival into the stretch and strode clear to win by 9 3/4 lengths. SADIE BE GOOD ($94,000) was a $47,000 OBS August yearling and a $125,000 OBS March 2-year-old. She has a yearling full brother, and a full sister foal of 2017. Bred by Carl Bowling, SADIE BE GOOD races for Namcook Stables and is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin.
