Greatness continues to sire winner after winner. His hard-knocking son Good Lord captured the Don Bernhardt Stakes at Ellis Park July 19th for the third consecutive year.
With Leandro Goncalves riding for trainer Forrest Kaelin, Good Lord, despite hopping at the start, took command of the 6 ½-furlong event shortly after the start. He opened up by as much as a length, and after blitzing six furlongs in a sparkling 1:08.43 he held at bay the late charge of Ghost is Clear to prevail in 1:14.55.
Now seven, Good Lord has proved to be an iron horse, typical of Greatness’ offspring. He has won 13 of 60 starts and bankrolled $645,454 in an outstanding career. Bred in Florida by Marilyn Fazo Seltzer, Good Lord is owned by Thomas Shank and Stan Young.
In addition to Good Lord, Greatness is also the sire of multiple stakes winner Great Attack and the crack sprinter Immortal Eyes. Greatness is one of the only sons of the famed sire of sires Mr. Prospector standing today in Kentucky. Don’t miss your opportunity to breed to this incredibly productive sire line.
