Immortal Eyes Streaks to Victory in Seasonal Bow at Age Nine

Immortal Eyes continues to get better with age. The millionaire son of Stonewall Phoenix stallion Greatness kicked off his 9-year-old campaign in fine form on March 27, impressively winning the 4 ½-furlong Ides of March Stakes at Charles Town.

Under confident handling from Travis Dunkelberger, Immortal Eyes tracked the early pace of Fearsome, moved three wide around the far turn to engage the leader and edged clear late to win by a half-length without ever being stretched to his best. He stopped the clock in :51.61.

An 11-time winner at Charles Town, Immortal Eyes has won a whopping 19 races from 49 lifetime starts and bankrolled $1,141,751. He has now won three consecutive stakes races, including the prestigious Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash, dating back to last year.

Bred in Florida by Adena Springs from the Private Terms mare Private Eyes, Immortal Eyes is owned by Robert Abbo Racing Stable and trained by Damon Dilodovico.

Greatness, a son of the legendary Mr. Prospector, stands at Stonewall Phoenix Stallions in Kentucky for $6,000.
